Attendance Up 10 Percent at CosmoProf Asia

The Hong Kong show closed its 18th year with rising numbers.

Cosmoprof Asia recently held its 18th edition at the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Center, November 13th-15th – and attendance was up by 10%.

For the 7th consecutive year, Cosmoprof Asia organised the International Buyer Programme to facilitate direct contact between exhibitors and international buyers. Prominent buyers from UAE, Australia, mainland China, India, Japan and New Zealand were invited to meet one-on-one with exhibitors of their choice. During the 3-day event, 172 one-on-one business meetings took place at the International Buyers Lounge.

The show’s organizers say exhibitors reported excellent results and many were extremely impressed by the business opportunities in Asia.

The event posted impressive numbers:

  • 60,985 visitors (up 10% over 2012) with remarkable growth in overseas visitor numbers including the USA (+10%) and European countries such as Germany (+27%), Italy (+19%) and Spain (+23%), together with emerging Asia Pacific markets including India (+74%), Malaysia (+21%) and Vietnam (+12%). The number of visitors from Israel and UAE also registered double-digit growth.

  • 76,200 sqm of exhibition area (up 3% over 2012)

  • 2,168 exhibitors (up 10% over 2012) from 43 countries and regions

  • 22 country and group pavilions which include the largest-ever Korean pavilion – a collection of 190 companies in skincare, make-up, nail, personal care, formulation and packaging solutions.

  • More than 340 members of the local and international media, and journalists, covered the event.
